9:30 a.m. — Adult RE: What We Choose: Ethics for Unitarian Universalists – Session 2: Unchanging Truths

This is the second of a ten-session intermediary course designed for UUs seeking to follow a faith of deeds, not creeds, by focusing on the moral and ethical questions that arise in life and explore ethical frameworks to help sort through a dilemma. In this session, we will examine questions about the existence and nature of truth and explore whether and how moral thinking is shaped—either reactively or proactively—by notions that there is ultimate unchanging moral truth to guide actions.

11:00 a.m. — Service: UN Sunday: Gandhi’s Dream & UNICEF Collection – led by John Pepper

In 2007, the UN created the International Day of Non-Violence on October 2nd in honor of Gandhi’s birthday. On this UN Sunday, we’ll reflect on his legacy and what Gandhi called the Seven Social Sins.  NOTE: All children and youth are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the beginning of the service as they share about and collect for UNICEF.

11:00 a.m. — Religious Exploration:
