This Sunday, Katie Coates will share her personal spiritual journey and connection to environmental justice. She will share updates on our collaborative work with Mississippi for a Green New Deal (#MS4GND) and the Mississippi Rising Coalition and how others can join this environmental justice work.
During this week’s service, we will also collect a separate donation for the tornado relief effort to support Legacy Village Mississippi in Rolling Fork, a local organization serving the Rolling Fork the community, was affected by the tornado itself, and is participating in relief efforts. Founded in 2010, Legacy Village’s mission is to provide and promote community education and service to enhance academic success, health and wellness, and personal and professional development of youth in the community. During the tornado, the roof of their building was torn off and many of their students were affected. The organization is now participating in disaster relief effort by providing hot meals, personal supplies, and throw blankets to others impacted.
This will be an in-person service. Join us at 10:30 am for coffee, snacks, and socializing! Please join us in person if you are able. Sign up here to make coffee or bring snacks for service.
