Advent: What Kind of Anticipation Is This?

UUCJ will join with Our Home Universalist Unitarian Church in Ellisville, MS for a shared service: 

As this planet goes, we are literally moving into a time of darkness. For some, we don’t do well as the sun makes its journey to the South. In the Northern Hemisphere, we have filled these darkening days with festivals, celebrations, and family gatherings. COVID-19 hits and most of us will protect ourselves and our loved ones with distancing. That means, however, that we will lose that sense of togetherness this time of the year has traditionally offered. Join with Jim Becker and our two congregations as we explore what the Christian practice of Advent means and how it fits in to other traditions at this time of year.
