UUCJ has always decided to stay in the city of Jackson. It is a conscious choice to do so. In our previous location, we had some outreach in the community we were in, inconsistent as it was. In our new church home, we once again are confronted with serving the community in which we exist. Will we meet the challenge? We hope so!
Recently a small task force has been given the opportunity to come up with a plan of action so we might truly be an inner-city church—doing so with deliberate acts of love, inclusion, and diversity. Kayla Roberts will speak to us about how right racial relations forms the foundation for us to truly connect with our community.
