Dr. Thomas Kersen has new things to share about his research on UFO/paranormal culture of the Ozarks. That research began serendipitously exploring the quirky nature of Eureka Springs which led to witnessing a major UFO conference. After reviewing Library of Congress oral histories, newspaper accounts, interviews, and other information, he realized that Ozarks were specially amenable to paranormal beliefs and culture. Highlighting this observation, he returned to the Ozarks in April 2024 to attend the Buck Nelson fest and see how Ozarkians were preparing for the total eclipse.
